After going through a rough IVF journey that ended in a stillbirth in November 2024, I thought that my dream of having a second baby was lost. We didn’t have the resources for a local surrogacy journey and although the idea of an international journey was very scary it was our only option. We looked at many options both locations and companies but IVMED stood out because not only did we know someone that had a great experience with them but also because of their attentiveness to us and all our questions when we initiated communication with them. They did not over sell, and did not push, they answered us and let us decide!
Our contact was always responsive and accommodating to us throughout our journey, even through my many anxieties as my past experience made the process extra scary and emotional.

To our great joy, we welcomed our sweet baby girl in early January. She came almost 2 weeks early via an emergency C-section, which although stressful, was a true miracle. Not only did we get there early, on an initial recommendation of our contact, we were there for the 38 week check up which showed the need for her urgent delivery to this world.

After the delivery, the agency provided us with immense supported as they helped us navigate the embassy process. We also happened to be in Kiev at the peak of war escalation, which they helped us navigate and make us feel as safe as they could while there and help us plan out a safe exit!

I would sincerely recommend IVMED to anyone looking into surrogacy in Ukraine!

After meeting with numerous surrogacy agencies in Kyiv in 2019, we were emotionally exhausted and close to giving up. IVMed was the final agency we visited, and from the very first meeting, we knew they were different. Their professionalism, transparency, and genuine compassion immediately set them apart, and for the first time, we felt a sense of trust and calm in what had been an overwhelming process.

We chose IVMed as our agency in 2019 undergoing two journeys so far! From the moment we met their team, we knew this was the agency for us. There was an immediate sense of trust, professionalism, and genuine care that stood out from every other agency we had encountered.

We began our first journey with IVMed in 2020 and welcomed our daughter, Delilah-Grace on Nov. 15 2020. In 2025, we returned for our second journey and in 2026 welcomed our daughter, Devina-Mae. Across both experiences, IVMed was consistent, compassionate, and deeply committed at every stage. They were present during the most vulnerable moments and treated our family’s journey with the respect and integrity it deserved. We will always be grateful to IVMed and recommend them wholeheartedly to anyone considering surrogacy.

Our adventure with IVMED was a real success. We don’t regret choosing this clinic for a single moment. Professionalism and seriousness are the key words at IVMED. We were very well received and supported from our first appointment and throughout the entire process. 10 days ago, the three of us returned home to our great joy. We have just returned home after our surrogacy journey with IVMED.

Even with the current situation in the Ukraine, they went above and beyond to make sure we felt safe and were able to enjoy our newborn. We cannot recommend them highly enough.

We just got home to Ireland from our 2nd journey in the Ukraine with Ivmed. We cannot recommend ivmed enough. The professionalism is second to none. Alexandra was our coordinator. An angel We had the most amazing relationship with Alexandra. We never had to feel anxious about the process because she always kept us notified. We had a lovely apartment in Kyiv with all the amenities we needed around us. Our exit process was so quick from the ivmed point of view. Within a few days we had everything ready and then we just had to wait for our own department of Foreign Affairs to do their checks. I am so happy we found ivmed & could do recommend enough

We decided to start the process with IVMED in mid-2024. Despite the complicated situation in Ukraine, everything went very smoothly, largely thanks to the extremely competent and efficient team, Krystyna and Olha, who managed our case. They ensured that, despite many uncertainties, our stay and return to our country with our baby girl, born in May 2025, were as quick and seamless as possible, with no surprises.

We would absolutely recommend IVMED to any future parents who may be considering going through the surrogacy process.

I’m writing this review definitely a little too late but thought this might help and reassure other intended parents considering IVMED that they’ve indeed made a good decision. I’m not sure where to begin as our journey has truly been one of many, many years of struggling to carry a baby (or two).

My husband’s and my decision to use a surrogate wasn’t made lightly as neither of us had any clue about what to expect. Thus the long and very laborious process started with researching firstly which country we would do this in and secondly which agency we would ultimately use, considering costs, laws, quality of treatment and doctors, embryologists and surrogates.

Our first option was the US which is where we were living at the time but after researching and speaking to over 80 agencies there (and personally interviewed about 70 surrogates) as well as dozens of parents who’d gone through the process. We found that not only the costs were sky high but having to navigate the state-by-state differences in surrogacy laws was a bit of a nightmare. A further issue was the ‘quality’ of surrogates I interviewed, whether it was their age, BMI, diet or circumstances. Exercise, vegetables, fruit and seafood seem to be rather limited or indeed non-existent in their lifestyle and diet not to mention more than a few horror stories so we decided not to go ahead there.

We then started a worldwide search which involved about a dozen countries (having done IVF in half of them without success) and re-visited most of them for surrogacy. It took us a few years but my husband and I compiled a very extensive database comparing packages, costs, success rates etc etc of our final selection of agencies/clinics which focused on Ukraine and research wise we found to be the best. (I even had the best dental treatment in Kyiv while I was there which was a fraction of the cost it would’ve been elsewhere, apparently a lot of students go there rather than the US to study as they are affordable and very good). We then personally visited about 10 clinics in Kyiv pre-COVID, spoke to doctors, embryologists, lawyers, coordinators, considered packages as they varied hugely and ultimately assessed success rates taking all these factors into consideration. We ultimately went with IVMED and their Guaranteed Live Birth Package whereas a lot of other clinics offer a ‘Guaranteed Heart Beat’ rather than Live Birth so that was meaningless to us. The minute we visited IVMED and saw the quality of those individuals and their lab, it was truly second to none but we still proceeded to go ahead with our assessment to be 100% sure we were making the right choice. Once we had our surrogacy documents looked at by a few independent lawyers who confirmed their reasonableness we knew we were making the right choice. We were given 4 surrogates to choose from as we wanted 2 surrogates, concerned that one surrogate giving birth to twins has its risks and after many years of trying we wanted to minimize any of those possible risks. Honestly, we would’ve been happy with any one of those ladies. All 4 were university educated and very straight forward which we liked and was in stark contrast to the US surrogates who ‘seemed’ to be doing it altruistically……

Our journey started and the coordinators were more than happy to accommodate us with the extra vitamins I wanted them to take after Dr Strelko assessed them. Alexandra, Nadiia, Olga and the team were quick to respond, they were always available via a WhatsApp group specifically for our journey. Birol the embryologist and his entire team were amazing as well. We were sent ultrasounds and I had those assessed independently as well- we weren’t taking any chances and were reassured by my gynecologists in Dubai and the US that IVMED were doing more than what they did during pregnancies!

My son was born a day after we arrived, a little early but his weight and health was totally normal as if he was full term. My daughter was born 6 weeks later so had time to get accustomed to having a newborn. We’d already done multiple courses about raising a newborn with our US hospital but more than that we found some wonderful live-in neo-natal nurses who took turns at helping us with our little arrivals. Nurses are affordable in Ukraine so would highly recommend any help one could get as it can be overwhelming especially with two babies. The pediatrician assigned to us by the clinic to assess the babies growth and development which is also part of the package was also exceptional. Ukrainian law states they have to have their licenses reassessed every so often and she had to study hard yet again to prove she was up to scratch. I’ve never heard that before in any other country. So a few times she wasn’t available due to being assessed but we found a couple of other fantastic pediatricians and other GPs and specialists next door to the building we were living in which was very convenient so my husband and I had our own check ups there as well.

The exit process went smoothly and our lawyer was wonderful with all the paperwork. The only things that took time was getting the babies Australian passports which was a struggle due to COVID as all citizenship issues had been consolidated in Hobart for all prospective citizens and newborns (as opposed to Warsaw and London). We received a phone call early one morning from Canberra Foreign Office asking when we were leaving Kiev. When we said we had no idea as we did not have passports, a serious conversation was had by Canberra to Hobart, and citizenship was steam rolled through, allowing Kyiv and Warsaw consulates to act super promptly to get emergency passports issued. So we were able to leave Kyiv about a week before the invasion. We would’ve gladly stayed there longer to experience the culture and life there but sadly had to leave after 6 months. We did take 2 of our nurses with us to Greece to help out there which was great, then when they went back to their families after a few months we had one of our other prior ones come over to help us as well.

We are still in touch with them as they always ask about our kids and likewise still in contact with our surrogate mothers who are wonderful individuals. Both surrogates told us we helped them with their debts and buying their small apartments. I think now Ukrainians need support more than ever and if I were to do this journey again, there would be no hesitation in our minds to go through IVMED.

My husband and I will be indebted to IVMED forever for being the vessel of these precious little ones (who are not so little anymore) I couldn’t have wished for a better result.

We went to Ivmed 2021 October and were very impressed with how we were treated by doctors and staff. Due to the war, we took a break but were updated on the status of our embryos and how they were brought to safety. After discussions with the coordinator in 2023, we chose the chance with one attempt after being given different options on how it could be resolved in a safe and good way. We succeeded on the first attempt and went there February 2024 we were very confident with the process and our coordinator kept us updated at all times so we could feel safe. Solved our exit process very quickly together with their lawyer. They have changed our lives in a way we never thought could happen. Very professional and very well received by all the staff at the clinic and the hospital after the birth. Thank you for all the help and especially Alexandra our coordinator.

We have had two successful journeys with IVMED, everything was very professional. From the moment we signed the contracts, everything went seamlessly. They were always there to answer our questions and guide us. Our surrogates were so lovely as was our coordinator Alexandra & Valentyina. Happy to answer any questions. Bonjour, je tiens à remercier du fond du cœur toute l’équipe IVMED pour son implication dans mon projet d’avoir un enfant. Grâce à cette clinique, j’ai aujourd’hui une petite Eva que je chéris jour après jour. Mon rêve est devenu REALITE. Toute l’équipe s’est vraiment impliquée avec gentillesse, que ce soit au niveau du médecin, des correspondants, des biologistes, des secrétaires, du chauffeur, j’ai été super bien accueillie et prise en charge surtout. Le programme est vraiment adapté en fonction de chaque personne. Nous ne sommes pas un numéro. IVMED a du matériel dernier cri, c’est primordial pour mener à bien ce parcours. Je dois aussi dire que je ne compte plus les fois où j’ai sollicité le médecin pour des questions, des inquiétudes, ou bien mon correspondant, une réponse rapide, précise et adaptée à ma situation m’était donnée. On a aussi simplement parfois besoin d’être rassuré. Eva m’a donné envie de revenir à IVMED et d’entamer un deuxième joli projet ; un petit frère ou une petite sœur pour ma princesse. Je sais que je peux avoir confiance en la clinique. J’ai eu un parcours difficile dans mon pays et long, Mon âge n’aide pas, mais bon. Mon pays : la France n’a pas été en mesure de me proposer quelque chose de concret. Mais IVMED a su m’accueillir, sans aucun jugement et concrétiser mon désir d’être, ce que j’avais depuis 8 longues années. Le papa est aux anges et moi je vous laisse imaginer… Je n’ai qu’un seul regret aujourd’hui, celui de ne pas avoir connu IVMED plus tôt et avoir perdu beaucoup d’années en France. Alors FONCEZ, ce n’est que du BONHEUR vraiment. Encore un grand MERCI à toute l’équipe d’IVMED. Quand je regarde ma fille, j’ai toujours une pensée pour l’équipe. From the very first contact, I felt supported. The team at IVMed went above and beyond to make the entire process as smooth as possible. They planned everything—from scheduling treatments to picking us up at the airport—and their 24/7 availability made us feel like we were in the best hands. Vi vil alltid være takknemlige overfor det fantastiske teamet på IVMED for deres støtte og ekspertise som hjalp oss med å bli en familie på 3 – datteren vår ble født i slutten av ’21. Støtten i landet var fantastisk, med en koordinator som ordnet alt, fungerte som oversetter og sørget for at vi fikk støtte hele veien (støtte på sykehuset, for å få fødselsattest, besøk hos barnelegen osv.)
IVMED var enkle å samarbeide med, lydhøre og med oss hele veien… Alle vi som har vært på eller er i gang med denne reisen, har en lang og ofte vanskelig historie, og selv om det ikke er en lett vei å gå, blir det lettere når man vet at man har et team med seg.

Min kone har en hjertelidelse som gjør at hun ikke kan bære frem et barn, og for oss var det en knust drøm å ikke kunne bli foreldre. Reisen vår begynte i 2021 gjennom et byrå i Spania som satte oss i kontakt med IVMED. Da vi midt under covid-19-pandemien besøkte Kiev for første gang, innså vi at fasilitetene og personalet var på nivå med det vi hadde sett i Barcelona.
Den profesjonelle, humane og ærlige behandlingen ga oss mye trygghet, og vi kunne skape embryoene våre. Kort tid etter fant vi vår første surrogatmor, men dessverre fungerte ikke overføringene, og i tillegg brøt krigen ut i Ukraina.
Månedene gikk, og vi fikk stoppet prosessen. Da det roet seg litt, bestemte vi oss likevel for å fortsette med en ny surrogatmor. Denne gangen ble embryoet implantert i surrogatmorens livmor, og et svangerskap utviklet seg uten for mange komplikasjoner.
I denne tiden kan du ikke helt tro det. Du tenker: «Kommer vi virkelig til å få et barn?», «Kommer alt til å gå bra?», «Hva om alt er en felle?» Tusen ting går gjennom hodet ditt.
Helt til dagen kom. Vi hadde allerede planlagt alt med hjelp fra byrået, som fulgte oss hele tiden. Da vi gikk av toget, ventet sjåføren Andriy på oss på perrongen og skaffet oss et SIM-kort slik at vi kunne ringe hjem. Vi bodde i en leilighet eid av byrået i en moderne bygning med alle tjenester i nærheten. Kiev er en stor by, og til tross for den pågående krigen prøvde vi å få tiden til å gå med litt sightseeing. Vi var litt redde for krigen, men oppholdet vårt ble bare forstyrret av luftangrepssirenene. Vi håper at ingen andre må oppleve dette, det er veldig sjokkerende. Vi fikk møte surrogatmoren vår og fikk et veldig godt forhold til henne. Cristina, oversetteren, fulgte oss også i denne perioden, og hun var vår kontaktperson på klinikken. Hun var oppmerksom, snill og svært profesjonell hele tiden.
Endelig kom dagen for fødselen. Ferran ble født uten problemer ved en normal, naturlig fødsel. Min kone kunne være til stede, og jeg ventet på fødeavdeling nummer 1 i Kiev, i et meget velutstyrt rom bare for oss.
Det var en veldig spesiell og intens dag, full av følelser. Alt vi hadde kjempet for, var der: et friskt og vakkert barn som beveget seg sakte og så på oss med øynene, vel vitende om at vi var foreldrene hans.
Vi fullførte alt papirarbeidet, og i løpet av de neste dagene utførte vi alle prosedyrene med registreringen og med surrogatmoren. Vi forberedte umiddelbart hjemreisen via Lviv og Polen. Cristina forberedte alt papirarbeidet perfekt for oss; vi kunne ta Ferran ut uten for mange problemer på grensen, alt papirarbeidet var i orden!
