This is the story of Anna, a patient with Ukrainian roots who has been living in the USA with her husband for the past 15 years.
“To be honest, it was very difficult for me to imagine myself in the situation of planning a future pregnancy with the IVF technologies involved. It seemed that these are rather isolated cases that happen somewhere with someone but not with you. Unfortunately, our married couple did not avoid problems with fertility health. It became clear to me and my husband that something went wrong after two years of marriage. At first, we believed that youth and health were on our side, and everything would happen naturally, but time passed, and the thought that we needed to do the necessary research kept us going,” Anna shares her story.
Having arrived in Kyiv to visit her parents, Anna began to study the possibilities of examination and treatment in her homeland. “I realized that in Ukraine, there is an opportunity to receive a high-quality treatment for a very reasonable price.”
“The first meeting with our Ukrainian doctor Veranika at the IVMED.* The clinic is engraved in my soul forever. I had the feeling that here, I was heard and understood, and they paid attention to every detail. It became somehow very easy to communicate on such a difficult topic.
The doctor and I immediately began to develop a step-by-step plan of action.

Was I embarrassed? Were there moments of despair, pain, and anxiety? Yes, all this had to be overcome.

Anna’s story ended with the birth of a long-awaited son. It is very moving and inspiring for doctors and patients. Today, we all understand how important it is to continue our professional activities in the reproductive field.
