After going through a rough IVF journey that ended in a stillbirth in November 2024, I thought that my dream of having a second baby was lost. We didn\u2019t have the resources for a local surrogacy journey and although the idea of an international journey was very scary it was our only option. We looked at many options both locations and companies but IVMED stood out because not only did we know someone that had a great experience with them but also because of their attentiveness to us and all our questions when we initiated communication with them. They did not over sell, and did not push, they answered us and let us decide!
\nOur contact was always responsive and accommodating to us throughout our journey, even through my many anxieties as my past experience made the process extra scary and emotional.<\/p>\n

To our great joy, we welcomed our sweet baby girl in early January. She came almost 2 weeks early via an emergency C-section, which although stressful, was a true miracle. Not only did we get there early, on an initial recommendation of our contact, we were there for the 38 week check up which showed the need for her urgent delivery to this world.<\/p>\n

After the delivery, the agency provided us with immense supported as they helped us navigate the embassy process. We also happened to be in Kiev at the peak of war escalation, which they helped us navigate and make us feel as safe as they could while there and help us plan out a safe exit!<\/p>\n

After meeting with numerous surrogacy agencies in Kyiv in 2019, we were emotionally exhausted and close to giving up. IVMed was the final agency we visited, and from the very first meeting, we knew they were different. Our adventure with IVMED was a real success. We don’t regret choosing this clinic for a single moment. Professionalism and seriousness are the key words at IVMED. We just got home to Ireland from our 2nd journey in the Ukraine with Ivmed. We cannot recommend ivmed enough. The professionalism is second to none. Alexandra was our coordinator. An angel We had the most amazing relationship with Alexandra. We never had to feel anxious about the process because she always kept us notified. We had a lovely apartment in Kyiv with all the amenities we needed around us. Our exit process was so quick from the ivmed point of view. Within a few days we had everything ready and then we just had to wait for our own department of Foreign Affairs to do their checks. We decided to start the process with IVMED in mid-2024. Despite the complicated situation in Ukraine, everything went very smoothly, largely thanks to the extremely competent and efficient team, Krystyna and Olha, who managed our case. They ensured that, despite many uncertainties, our stay and return to our country with our baby girl, born in May 2025, were as quick and seamless as possible, with no surprises.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m writing this review definitely a little too late but thought this might help and reassure other intended parents considering IVMED that they\u2019ve indeed made a good decision. I\u2019m not sure where to begin as our journey has truly been one of many, many years of struggling to carry a baby (or two).<\/p>\n

My husband\u2019s and my decision to use a surrogate wasn\u2019t made lightly as neither of us had any clue about what to expect. Thus the long and very laborious process started with researching firstly which country we would do this in and secondly which agency we would ultimately use, considering costs, laws, quality of treatment and doctors, embryologists and surrogates.<\/p>\n

Our first option was the US which is where we were living at the time but after researching and speaking to over 80 agencies there (and personally interviewed about 70 surrogates) as well as dozens of parents who\u2019d gone through the process. We found that not only the costs were sky high but having to navigate the state-by-state differences in surrogacy laws was a bit of a nightmare. A further issue was the \u2018quality\u2019 of surrogates I interviewed, whether it was their age, BMI, diet or circumstances. Exercise, vegetables, fruit and seafood seem to be rather limited or indeed non-existent in their lifestyle and diet not to mention more than a few horror stories so we decided not to go ahead there.<\/p>\n

We then started a worldwide search which involved about a dozen countries (having done IVF in half of them without success) and re-visited most of them for surrogacy. It took us a few years but my husband and I compiled a very extensive database comparing packages, costs, success rates etc etc of our final selection of agencies\/clinics which focused on Ukraine and research wise we found to be the best. (I even had the best dental treatment in Kyiv while I was there which was a fraction of the cost it would\u2019ve been elsewhere, apparently a lot of students go there rather than the US to study as they are affordable and very good). We then personally visited about 10 clinics in Kyiv pre-COVID, spoke to doctors, embryologists, lawyers, coordinators, considered packages as they varied hugely and ultimately assessed success rates taking all these factors into consideration. We ultimately went with IVMED and their Guaranteed Live Birth Package whereas a lot of other clinics offer a \u2018Guaranteed Heart Beat\u2019 rather than Live Birth so that was meaningless to us. The minute we visited IVMED and saw the quality of those individuals and their lab, it was truly second to none but we still proceeded to go ahead with our assessment to be 100% sure we were making the right choice. Once we had our surrogacy documents looked at by a few independent lawyers who confirmed their reasonableness we knew we were making the right choice. We were given 4 surrogates to choose from as we wanted 2 surrogates, concerned that one surrogate giving birth to twins has its risks and after many years of trying we wanted to minimize any of those possible risks. Honestly, we would\u2019ve been happy with any one of those ladies. All 4 were university educated and very straight forward which we liked and was in stark contrast to the US surrogates who \u2018seemed\u2019 to be doing it altruistically\u2026\u2026<\/p>\n

Our journey started and the coordinators were more than happy to accommodate us with the extra vitamins I wanted them to take after Dr Strelko assessed them. Alexandra, Nadiia, Olga and the team were quick to respond, they were always available via a WhatsApp group specifically for our journey. Birol the embryologist and his entire team were amazing as well. We were sent ultrasounds and I had those assessed independently as well- we weren\u2019t taking any chances and were reassured by my gynecologists in Dubai and the US that IVMED were doing more than what they did during pregnancies!<\/p>\n

My son was born a day after we arrived, a little early but his weight and health was totally normal as if he was full term. My daughter was born 6 weeks later so had time to get accustomed to having a newborn. We\u2019d already done multiple courses about raising a newborn with our US hospital but more than that we found some wonderful live-in neo-natal nurses who took turns at helping us with our little arrivals. Nurses are affordable in Ukraine so would highly recommend any help one could get as it can be overwhelming especially with two babies. The pediatrician assigned to us by the clinic to assess the babies growth and development which is also part of the package was also exceptional. Ukrainian law states they have to have their licenses reassessed every so often and she had to study hard yet again to prove she was up to scratch. I\u2019ve never heard that before in any other country. So a few times she wasn\u2019t available due to being assessed but we found a couple of other fantastic pediatricians and other GPs and specialists next door to the building we were living in which was very convenient so my husband and I had our own check ups there as well.<\/p>\n

The exit process went smoothly and our lawyer was wonderful with all the paperwork. The only things that took time was getting the babies Australian passports which was a struggle due to COVID as all citizenship issues had been consolidated in Hobart for all prospective citizens and newborns (as opposed to Warsaw and London). We received a phone call early one morning from Canberra Foreign Office asking when we were leaving Kiev. When we said we had no idea as we did not have passports, a serious conversation was had by Canberra to Hobart, and citizenship was steam rolled through, allowing Kyiv and Warsaw consulates to act super promptly to get emergency passports issued. So we were able to leave Kyiv about a week before the invasion. We would\u2019ve gladly stayed there longer to experience the culture and life there but sadly had to leave after 6 months. We did take 2 of our nurses with us to Greece to help out there which was great, then when they went back to their families after a few months we had one of our other prior ones come over to help us as well.<\/p>\n

We are still in touch with them as they always ask about our kids and likewise still in contact with our surrogate mothers who are wonderful individuals. Both surrogates told us we helped them with their debts and buying their small apartments. I think now Ukrainians need support more than ever and if I were to do this journey again, there would be no hesitation in our minds to go through IVMED.<\/p>\n

My husband and I will be indebted to IVMED forever for being the vessel of these precious little ones (who are not so little anymore) I couldn\u2019t have wished for a better result.<\/p>\n

We went to Ivmed 2021 October and were very impressed with how we were treated by doctors and staff. Due to the war, we took a break but were updated on the status of our embryos and how they were brought to safety. After discussions with the coordinator in 2023, we chose the chance with one attempt after being given different options on how it could be resolved in a safe and good way. We succeeded on the first attempt and went there February 2024 we were very confident with the process and our coordinator kept us updated at all times so we could feel safe. Solved our exit process very quickly together with their lawyer. They have changed our lives in a way we never thought could happen. Very professional and very well received by all the staff at the clinic and the hospital after the birth. We have had two successful journeys with IVMED, everything was very professional. From the moment we signed the contracts, everything went seamlessly. Bonjour, je tiens \u00e0 remercier du fond du c\u0153ur toute l’\u00e9quipe IVMED pour son implication dans mon projet d’avoir un enfant. Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 cette clinique, j’ai aujourd’hui une petite Eva que je ch\u00e9ris jour apr\u00e8s jour. Mon r\u00eave est devenu REALITE. Toute l’\u00e9quipe s’est vraiment impliqu\u00e9e avec gentillesse, que ce soit au niveau du m\u00e9decin, des correspondants, des biologistes, des secr\u00e9taires, du chauffeur, j’ai \u00e9t\u00e9 super bien accueillie et prise en charge surtout. Le programme est vraiment adapt\u00e9 en fonction de chaque personne. Nous ne sommes pas un num\u00e9ro. IVMED a du mat\u00e9riel dernier cri, c\u2019est primordial pour mener \u00e0 bien ce parcours. Je dois aussi dire que je ne compte plus les fois o\u00f9 j’ai sollicit\u00e9 le m\u00e9decin pour des questions, des inqui\u00e9tudes, ou bien mon correspondant, une r\u00e9ponse rapide, pr\u00e9cise et adapt\u00e9e \u00e0 ma situation m’\u00e9tait donn\u00e9e. On a aussi simplement parfois besoin d\u2019\u00eatre rassur\u00e9. Eva m’a donn\u00e9 envie de revenir \u00e0 IVMED et d’entamer un deuxi\u00e8me joli projet ; un petit fr\u00e8re ou une petite s\u0153ur pour ma princesse. Je sais que je peux avoir confiance en la clinique. J\u2019ai eu un parcours difficile dans mon pays et long, Mon \u00e2ge n\u2019aide pas, mais bon. Mon pays : la France n\u2019a pas \u00e9t\u00e9 en mesure de me proposer quelque chose de concret. Mais IVMED a su m\u2019accueillir, sans aucun jugement et concr\u00e9tiser mon d\u00e9sir d\u2019\u00eatre, ce que j\u2019avais depuis 8 longues ann\u00e9es. Le papa est aux anges et moi je vous laisse imaginer\u2026 Je n’ai qu’un seul regret aujourd\u2019hui, celui de ne pas avoir connu IVMED plus t\u00f4t et avoir perdu beaucoup d\u2019ann\u00e9es en France. Alors FONCEZ, ce n’est que du BONHEUR vraiment. Encore un grand MERCI \u00e0 toute l\u2019\u00e9quipe d\u2019IVMED. From the very first contact, I felt supported. The team at IVMed went above and beyond to make the entire process as smooth as possible. They planned everything\u2014from scheduling treatments to picking us up at the airport\u2014and their 24\/7 availability made us feel like we were in the best hands. Even the small details, like organising drivers for appointments, were taken care of, allowing us to focus entirely on the treatment and the process.<\/p>\n

What truly stood out was their professionalism. They helped with every bit of paperwork and agreements, making what could have been an overwhelming process completely manageable. Most importantly, they treated us more than just clients, they treated us as someone they genuinely wanted to help.<\/p>\n

IVMed brought back a sense of hope I thought I had lost forever. Their dedication, care, and expertise turned what once felt impossible into a reality. For anyone facing the challenges of infertility, I cannot recommend IVMed enough.<\/p>\n

Tout a \u00e9t\u00e9 mis en \u0153uvre pour accueillir notre fille dans les meilleures conditions possibles : le choix de la maternit\u00e9, du logement, les \u00e9quipements mis \u00e0 disposition pour notre b\u00e9b\u00e9, les diff\u00e9rents d\u00e9placements en taxi, les documents administratifs (pour constituer le dossier pour l\u2019ambassade), ont \u00e9t\u00e9 g\u00e9r\u00e9 avec un tr\u00e8s grand soin. Au final, nous ne serons rest\u00e9s que 13 jours en Ukraine. C\u2019est une r\u00e9elle prouesse au vu du contexte actuel!

We were an American couple that used the services of the agency. All the team members have been super helpful to us. We were finally blessed with a very beautiful baby. Entire team has been super helpful in arranging safe passage to Kyiv and back as well as arranging a safe apartment to stay on Kyiv along with a very professional and caring nurse and nanny. The team also took care of all the legal paperwork as well as US passport paperwork. The team also provided the several baby items as well to get settled in. The team also arranged a safe drive to the consulate. Hi all.
\nWe visited Kyiv well before the war and visited several surrogacy clinics to determine which clinic to choose, taking into consideration, price, success rates, and patient care.<\/p>\n

We were very happy with IV Med as their costs were very transparent and the main hospital they used was well established, very clean and professionally run.<\/p>\n

We decided to choose IV MED as we soon realised that a number of other surrogacy agencies used IV MED hospital for their Medical Services, so we decided to deal .directly with IV MEd.<\/p>\n

Unfortunately, due to the war, our surrogacy journey was on hold, we were even contemplating not continuing our journey due to the war.<\/p>\n

We decided after alot of doubt, to continue our journey. IV MED found a suitable surrogate for us. We were very worried about her being pregnant in a war zone, and at times felt we were completely crazy for going ahead.<\/p>\n

IV MED were very experienced and gave us reassurances. They had a plan if the surrogate was unsafe and needed to get her to a safe ane secure place.
\nIV Med kept us well informed. They frequently carried out medical checks on the pregnancy, despite the threat.
\nTo be honest, the pregnancy was a smooth one, despite oll of this.<\/p>\n

I would highly recommend IV MED , the quality of service we experienced was very high. Its just a little tricky to recommend them when the country is at war.<\/p>\n

Would we use IV MED again. Absulutely! Thanks for everything you have done for us..

Like most people, surrogacy was not our preferred route to parenthood. We diligently researched agencies & very nearly signed with another before IVMed was recommended to us.<\/p>\n

At the initial paperwork stage; all our questions were answered quickly & honestly by our co-ordinator Iryna who we met in person & was based in Dublin
\nOur contract was tailored to our requests for a specific location & experienced surrogate.<\/p>\n

We were extremely lucky our embryo creation was smooth & we were matched with an experienced surrogate & introduced on video call to meet each other & ask questions before would meet in person when it was time for birth. A whatsapp group was created where we had direct access, which gave us real reassurance . Our co-ordinator Olena was so very helpful & supportive throughout the pregnancy- the medical reports were translated with scan photos & short video clips- this really helped us feel involved. Any clarification or query we raised was checked with the doctor before responding to us; this built a sense of trust between us before we had even met in person.<\/p>\n

When it was time to go to Ukraine, Olena was invaluable; it was wonderful to finally meet her in person- outside of the surrogacy specific help; she gave us real advice & tips on Kyiv in general. Olena went above expectations & was so kind to answer questions outside of official work hours. Our driver arranged by IVMed for our appointments was always friendly & prompt- it was a relief to be collected & dropped of without having to worry about navigating the public transport options while being able to speak the language.
\nAfter the birth we were still supported, we had a paediatrician visit & needed some additional tests that were quickly arranged in the children’s hospital.<\/p>\n

Our exit process was helped by the IVMED team who had ensured all our documentation was prepared in advance. We had a delay on documentation arriving (not clinic related) & IVMed Olha sourced additional accommodation for us at very short notice.<\/p>\n

We have absolutely no hesitation in recommending the team at IVMED, the very emotional & stressful nature of the surrogacy process was made tolerable by the people who assisted us all the way through, we put our trust in them & they guided us through each stage.
